Spotify is by far the biggest music streaming service, but there are others. 

They include Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal, Audiomack and Qobuz. 

There are also regional streaming services that operate in just one country or region – like QQ Music, Kugou Music, Kuwo Music, NetEase Cloud Music, JioSaavn, Joox, Anghami and Boomplay.

These services all have licensing deals with the music industry and pay royalties to record labels, music publishers, artists and songwriters. The way streaming royalties are calculated is quite complicated.  

In the music industry, digital music services, including streaming services, are often referred to as digital service providers or DSPs for short.
