MUSICALLY UNORTHODOX CONFERENCE
in Northampton on 22 May

Pathways Into Music is excited to be a partner on the Musically Unorthodox Conference taking place in Northampton on 22 May.

This brand new conference is focused on pathways into music and media for young people who have fallen out of mainstream societal infrastructures.

It will consider how the music and wider creative industries can better work with youth and community organisations, and local authorities and institutions, to connect with and support young adults who are not currently in education, employment or training, enabling them to hone their creative skills, make connections and advance their careers.

UNDERSTANDING THE PATHWAYS INTO MUSIC WEEKEND
in Southampton on 14 and 15 June

The next edition of our free professional development programme for music educators will take place in Southampton on 14 and 15 June.

It’s for anyone involved in educating or supporting young people making music in the Solent, Bournemouth / Christchurch / Poole and Hampshire regions, including: music teachers, instrument tutors, and FE and HE lecturers, plus people working for education hubs and talent development, community music and youth organisations.

MIME CONFERENCE 2025
in Manchester on 22 November

The Music Industry + Music Education Conference will return this autumn bringing together people working in music education with employers, entrepreneurs and business leaders from across the music industry to discuss the best ways to support future music talent, both on-stage and behind the scenes.

Presented in partnership with Un-Convention, this full-day event will discuss the knowledge and support young people need to pursue a career in music, and how educators can deliver it. We will also put the spotlight on interns and mentors, work placements and apprenticeships.
